GiggityRepo ← Back to rankings

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 28, 2026  ·  An IANternet Media project

Short version: GiggityRepo does not require an account, does not sell your data, and does not track you across the web. The data we store is limited to server logs and the public GitHub data we index for rankings.

1. Who We Are

GiggityRepo is a GitHub repository discovery and ranking service operated by IANternet Media ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use giggityrepo.com (the "Service").

GiggityRepo is an independent project and is not affiliated with GitHub, Inc. or Microsoft Corporation.

2. Data We Collect at a Glance

CategoryWhat it includesDo we sell it?
Server & edge logs IP address, request path, response code, timestamp, User-Agent No

Performance & error data Worker CPU time, exception traces — no PII included No

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Automatically Collected Data

When you visit GiggityRepo, our infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare's global network) may automatically record:

This data is processed by Cloudflare as our infrastructure provider. We do not operate our own server-side analytics beyond what Cloudflare provides in aggregate dashboards.

3.2 GitHub Public Data

GiggityRepo indexes publicly available repository data from the GitHub GraphQL API. This includes:

All of this data is publicly visible on GitHub. We do not access private repositories, private user information, email addresses, or any data that is not already public on GitHub's platform.

3.3 No Account or User Data

GiggityRepo has no user accounts, no login, no registration, and no sign-up forms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from visitors beyond the server log data described above.

3.4 Cookies and Local Storage

GiggityRepo does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics scripts. The site may use your browser's localStorage or session storage to remember your UI preferences (such as which ranking board you last viewed) entirely on your device — this data never leaves your browser.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely to:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose beyond operating the Service itself.

5. How We Share Information

5.1 Infrastructure Providers

Our Service runs on Cloudflare Workers and stores ranking data in Cloudflare D1 (a SQLite-based edge database). By using the Service, request data necessarily passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes this data according to their own Privacy Policy.

5.2 GitHub

We make API calls to GitHub on our servers to retrieve public repository data. GitHub processes these requests according to their Privacy Statement. We do not send any visitor information to GitHub.

5.3 No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer any information to third parties for their commercial use.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

6. Data Retention

Repository ranking snapshots are retained on a tiered schedule designed to balance historical analysis with storage efficiency:

Server access logs are retained according to Cloudflare's standard log retention policies (typically up to 7 days in free/pro tiers). We do not maintain our own long-term log archives.

7. Children's Privacy

GiggityRepo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the Service, including TLS encryption for all traffic, edge-level DDoS mitigation through Cloudflare, and access controls on our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information.

9. International Visitors

GiggityRepo is served from Cloudflare's global edge network. If you are located outside the jurisdiction where IANternet Media operates, your request data may be processed in data centres around the world as part of Cloudflare's normal operations. By using the Service, you consent to this processing.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have certain rights regarding personal data. Because GiggityRepo does not collect personal data beyond server logs (which typically contain only your IP address and request metadata), there is generally little personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. However, if you have a specific request, please contact us.

Requests related to GitHub repository data (star counts, descriptions, contributor figures) are outside our control — that data is sourced from and governed by GitHub's own policies. To have your GitHub data corrected or removed, contact GitHub directly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
